ABOUT THE GUIDE
The South Carolina Grower Resource Guide exists to help farmers in South Carolina find the information, resources, and services necessary to operate their businesses. The Guide serves as a farmer-focused companion to the South Carolina Local Food System RoadMap hosted by the South Carolina Food Systems Network (Formerly the SC Food Policy Council).
Information included in this Guide is not intended to be exhaustive or act as an endorsement of any of the businesses listed. But we certainly hope it is helpful!
The content for the Guide was originally developed by Lowcountry Local First to serve new farmers in the Lowcountry Region as part of their Growing New Farmers Program and has been generously provided as a foundation for the broader statewide resource.
Additional funding support was provided by the SC Department of Agriculture and the Rural Resource Coalition for the continued development of this resource.
The creators of this Guide did not receive any funding in exchange for listings or promotion of organizations or businesses included.
Special thanks to Cat Hay for the collaborative support in content development and Kaylee Smith for updating the information and uploading it to this website. This project was conducted under the supervision of Nikki Seibert Kelley of Wit Meets Grit.
